Moving On Up - With effect from 22nd October Apex Architecture are moving into new London offices. The new premises are in a prime location, taking us from Sweden Gate in SE16 to Blackfriars Road in SE1. In addition they provide us with a far more attractive, practical and well-supported office to accommodate our current growth as a company.
“We are really excited about this move and are looking forward to making it our new London home. Our team are delighted with all the extra space and know our clients will benefit from our more central location.” David Hurcombe, Director.
Moving In – We are delighted to announce that Richard Jones, a chartered surveyor, has become a Director of the company and will be responsible for the resource and operations management for the whole business. With his qualifications and experience, he will head up our building surveying side as well as managing his own projects.
Moving Out – Ian Ilkan-Osman, a former Director, has left Apex to pursue his own practice, we wish him every success in his new endeavour. We also lose Ina Redpenning, who has gone to Berlin to study her MA in Architecture, although she will continue to assist Apex as her study timetable permits.
Moving Together – There is obviously something in the water at Apex as we have had three weddings recently. We congratulate all our newlyweds: Andrew and Louise Inchley, Charlie and Helen Vine, and Jon and Emma White.
Other News – Apex have an exciting new commission to build an extension to Salford Hall, a beautiful Grade 1 listed Jacobean mansion which is now used as a luxury hotel. Full details of this project can be found in our portfolio.
28th September saw our annual Golf Day event, held at the Bells Hotel Golf Club, Forest of Dean. As ever the Apex team acquitted themselves admirably, but most still got trounced by the clients! There is always next year for those that didn’t actually win the competition! A great day was had by all and we’d like to thank all those present for making it such a success.
Finally we are looking forward to sponsoring the hugely competitive rugby match between Lydney and Cinderford in December. Who needs World Cups and All Blacks, when these two monster teams are doing battle – results to follow.
